Taken at White Sands National Monument in NM this past December. This plant was all by itself among the ripples in the sand.

Canon 40D, Canon 24-105L @ 55mm, F11, 1/400sec ISO 400, hand held down in the sand with polarizer, cropped slightly to help composition.

    C & C welcome,

    Marina

Perfect composition, and the shadow adds to it, Marina. Well seen!

    Hey Marina,
As Fabs mentioned.....the simplicity of the lone plant......with the shadow and sand ripples...just perfect. This is one of those rare cases that I don't want to see it in the ROT position......adds to the vastness of the sand. Very well seen and composed.

That yucca is losing the battle to the shifting sands. I like the comp too.

This is very nice Marina! I really like the composition and the waves in the sand. Excellent eye to catch this scene...must be a fun place to visit too!
