A title for this image might be 'signs of the past'. This is a wall of a log cabin situated on the shore of Kootenay Lake in BC. The wall is a collection of historical artifacts created by a lovely fellow who lived here for some 50 years. He was a archaeology and history buff. These are artifacts were left mostly by the first European settlers here. There are lots of little goodies to see, it is like a collage of a lifetime. Sort of 'Find Waldo' : potato ricer, two bladed ax, fishing lure, wooden wagon parts, kerosene torch, meat saws, .... Hope the details turn out large enough so that you can enjoy the tour.

Did some sharpening and burning in PS, first tweaks in LR2

    C&C very much appreciated

    I love it Gail,
well composed and executed. very nice...For my taste, I don't know if it would be fitting ,without taking away from the mood and feel of the image; would be to kick up the saturation and contrast just a slight tad not too much...what do you think...:D:cool:

Gail, very neat!! I like all the points of interest, I would prob. crop some from L side to put the hose into the rule of thirds-but it's just a sugg. I do like it as presented.

Excellent Gail Would have gone a little wider to show objects on the corners entirely, they appear cut.

Great find and would also have gone after individual objects which I'm sure you did !!!

Really like this like the feel. Looking at all the tools and general rusty stuff is quite fun!!! Would have went a bit wider

Thanks for the suggestions. I knew as soon as I posted it that going a bit wider and not cutting off the objects to the left was a good idea. Luckily I'll be able to go back in the spring. Denise thanks for noticing the tilt, I didn't until you told us about it.

    Thanks again

Gail, I'm not so sure about the tilt any more since looking at it for some time I think the top is straight the bottom just settled!

Very nice photo Gail. A bit of the past saved. I agree with a bit wider and wonder if more sat. and contast would bring out the rust better. That old rooster looks interesting.
