    Taken one morning last month at Bosque. 1DmkIII. 500mm. ISO 1000, 1/2000 F8, manual. Would appreciate comments and suggestion.

    This is a unique image Richard. I really like it. You needed DoF to get both eyes in focus and you needed a fast shutter speed for BIF. ISO 1000 allowed all this and noise is controlled very well. The BG is pleasant and complementary to the birds. You could tone down the bright triangle in the upper left. I had some trouble figuring out which wing belongs to which bird!

    I like the unusual composition, details and eye contact(s). I agree with John regarding the area in the upper left and would try to lighten the shadow on the near bird's neck.

    It's refreshing to see a unique photo coming from the Bosque. Agree with above suggestions but like it a lot.

    Different for sure...the protruding mix of necks, heads and wings makes this image quite fun and interesting. Another vote for darkening the ULC.
