Are you tired of snowies yet? Here's one of mine from yesterday. Loving these beautiful birds and the opportunities that they are giving us this winter. This is nearly full framed, trimmed very slight from the right and bottom for comp.

Never! Nice gliding pose with good details. A little head turn in your direction would have been nice, but I would love to have this one. Nice job.

Not tired - just envious :). Nice gliding pose with the head in profile. The fence along the bottom is a distraction to me and I would be tempted to patch it out to achieve a clean BG. Good job to get the head and body in crisp focus.

Great details and light. I wish the wings were up or down and I would remove the fence.

Like it just the way it is, the fence does add a little feel about location and gives the viewer an ability to picture this bird flying over "the viewers" own beach line.

    Really sweet !

Thanks everyone. As for the fence, it was part of the scene and the bird was actually using the snow fences in the same way she uses a dune, for protection and cover. I'm leaving it in.

Raymond, I never bait, nor have any of the owls that have been taken on Long Island this winter been baited (to my knowledge).

Stunning image Grace, really sharp and with a fantastic soft light. The Bg is very interesting and I like the fence going out of focus in the far left but almost sharp in the lower right corner. Very good job and keep them coming, we are no tired of seing this beautiful species

Grace, I'm so glad you are keeping the fence-I think it adds so much to the overall image w/o the fence there would be no sense of the location and it does not detract from the owl!

I don't mind the fence - I think it gives it perspective. I keep salivating over these snowy pictures so I think I have to head out there this weekend. If you are going to be around I would love to catch up.
