    Was shooting this Snowy vertical when it decided to take off.
    Slight crop off the bottom for comp.
    Canon 40 D
    300 2.8 2X ISO 400 Hand Held
    F8 1/2500 +1/3 AV Mode

    Lovely wing up position and nice side view.

    Don't care for the fence, but you get what you get and don't get upset.

    Good exposure and details. If you have to deal with a fence to capture a snowy, so be it. You guys have been getting great looks at these birds.

    I'm guessing this was just prior to Grace's image :). Great colours in the BG and lovely pose and sharpness. Fence is a frustration and ideally space to launch into would be good but I would just be happy to see one of these beauties.

    Wow - I think this pose is really great and it has such energy and movement.
