    The owl caught this vole (plentiful) in the field and then landed to eat it. Vole was there-not baited or placed there. I used my car as a blind. Canon 40D-500mm f4, 1.4, F8, ISO 400, EC +1

    Cool moment captured, it would have been even better with the sun behind you...oh well. :) I might put the owl a bit lower in the frame.

    Glad it wasn't baited.

    I would probably panocrop this - but I do really like moment and and wonder if a more artistic B&W Version could make it stronger ?

    Good work on the capture.

    Nice job capturing this moment. Detail looks good. Hoping we will have a few here this winter also.

    I would maybe take a bit off the bottom and add to the top. You have exposed this very well under the conditions.Otherwise, a great catch for both of you.
