    Heavy crop

    The lake was half frozen .These guys were swimming around in the unfrozen parts- not good light it was overcast but the sun seemed to go in and out/it was a pain trying to readjust, needed my extender (but I forgot to bring it!)
    Best I could do-
    Looks like a male,female and immature male(I could be wrong):p

    Mighty Mergs:-) Spooky little beasties and I know what you mean about a heavy crop!

    Good eye contact on all 3!! and you kept a good bit of feather detail for a big crop, sharp and exposure looks fine. All in all good job! Would probably remove the bit of white UL corner

    A fun looking trio Denise. Love that browny-purple colour reflected in the water. I know what you mean about the heavy crop, hard to get close to these guys. Did well with separation and HA's.

    I like it Lady Denise,
    You got all three ducks in line. I like the frozen lake with the pieces of floating ice...I took another approach to zero in on these little guys...see if you like...:):cool:

    Good exposure Denise and great head position for the trio !!! Not crazy about the water but it is what it is !!!
    The tighter crop looks good !!

    Thanks everyone, The crop is too large for me to spend alot of time cleaning all the ice particles from water. I just thought they were cute and I enjoyed my day w/ them.
    Gus, Your crop rocks -thanks!!!

    Gus...did you use the new CS 4 content aware scale for your crop? Or did you do it manually? Just wondering as you seem to have compressed the shot in an impossibly cool way that has left the ducks looking just as beautiful as they were in the original.

    Denise - great capture; it is unusual to see a group like this, leave alone get an image of them - and such a good image. (I think the immature could be either sex?)
    Well done

    Hi denise;

    Unusual to get such a good photo of three birds at one time. I love it.

    Well done, thanks for sharing.
