Some people photographed this owl early in the morning when it decided to provide us with a different setting, which was not the worst thing since it sat in front of a fence. There was no time to change the ISO for higher shutter speed, hence the blurred wings but I liked the lookback pose and BG.

I really like the summer-type BG!
Love the wing blur since it gives sense of motion.

Looks great to me. You got the eye sharp and a wonderful BG. It'd be nice if it were flying towards you, but it's still an excellent photo.

Looks gorgeous to me. But I think i would prefer an in focus wing only because I love the subtle markings.

I agree with you Axel, beautiful bg contrasting the owl, the eye is nice and the blurred wings add to the in flight motion. Great grab.

Love the bg, and the sharp eye is proof of your good panning technique.

Blurred Wing, Blurred background, all nice things. Eye looks OOF - any chance USM can help it ?

Thanks, Dustin! I guess I could sharpen it some more.

The blurred wings arent an issue for me, as it shows movement. The focus is on the head and eye, which are sharp, so you have achieved your objective. Lovely colours in the BG, and well captured Axel.

The beautiful light and slight blur gives it a dreamy exquisite look.
I like this very much (I did look at it, and other snowy photos, earlier, on your website).
