    Default Re-chargeable Battery pack EN-EL4

Does anyone know if the above battery pack will work in the Nikon D300?

    It works with the MB-D10.
You will also need the Nikon BL-3 battery chamber cover.

I think you also need an adapter for that battery.

Like James said, all you need is the MB-D10 and the BL-3.

Here's a pic of mine before I sold it them:

I had the same thought. Is it worth the extra weight and so forth to use it?

It was absolutely worth it for me. I really didn't notice the difference, but then again the D300 was the backup to the D3.

Thnaks Jim. What advantages did you find using it. I understand it has a faster frame count. How else did you benifit from it?

The faster frame rate was a big one and the fact that I could use all one type battery was another.
I did keep an enel3 in the body as a "backup" but I never ran the enel4 down enough for the camera to switch over to the battery in the body.

I've read that it is possible to use the battery grip with no battery in the body, but I never tried that. It could save you a little weight, but that's really negligible.

So, I would need a different recharger also for the 4?

Yes, I used the one from the D3, but if you don't have it, you'd need to get one.
