    Default Backup Software

I have tried a search and have not been able to find any answer to what I am looking for. I used to use PSE4, and every once in a while (user defined time period) PSE 4 would remind me to do a back up.
Now with CS3 I do not see any method of doing a back up. I currently use Windows Expl. and copy all the files to an external HD via USB, which takes a long time when all I really want to back up are new and changed/modified files.
    Any suggestions?
    Tks, Dave

Synctoy or Robocopy from Microsoft. Both free.

    Hi:

Got this information last night in Costco newes letter . . Portable Western Digital 500GB with Content guage and automatic backup? Lowest price I ever saw, and with Costco's 90 day return warrantty you have nothing to lose.

    Sounds interesting

    Chris,
Do these backup programs delete file that have been deleted from the Hard Drive? I use Syncbank SE, I'm not sure that this one deletes files either, perhaps you know?

Yes, both are capable of synchronising/mirroring the data. Robocopy is a command line utility which you can write a script and schedule it through scheduled tasks and Synctoy is a GUI app. The good thing about Synctoy is you can see what the program will do before you actually allow it to run that task and deleted files are thrown in the Recycle Bin in case you goof up.

Looks interesting Gus. I noticed something similiar in our local Costco the other day. I may try Synctoy with the portable HD I have now. Amazing prices on these things now.
