I had a great sunrise at Little Estero Lagoon on Ft. Myers beach but then the fog rolled in so I decided to make soup from the sea oats as there was no stone around...

Canon 24-105mm handheld at 40mm (while sitting) with the EOS-1D MIII. ISO 200. Evaluative metering -1/3 stop (to save the highlights in the sun): 1/2000 sec. at f/10.

All comments welcome. Later and love and have a great 2008.

    Hey Artie,

Love the feeling of this one. I really like the fact that you make something especial out of almost nothing. Excellent work.

    Happy New Year!!

Very cool Artie. I would have liked to see the dangling furls of the sea oats not touching the dark background. Some separation would have been nice. That is a minor nit. All in all it works very well.

Very ethereal image, I like how the arc of the sea oats frames the distant shoreline.
