    Default Black-capped Chickadee

I really like the pose of this Chickadee. One thing I have noticed though looking at many of the other posts is that our trees here have way to many branches! I just don't seem to find those classic single branch perches. Maybe its time to do some pruning! :)

Anyway, this image was made back in November in a city park in Allentown, PA using my 30d and 400mm f/5.6L tripod mounted. Flash was attached but not used for this image.

I like the composition. Very nice. But off leaves in foreground and distracting twigs in background kind of iffy for me.

Pose, perch and details are nice but the OOF twig in the foreground is quite distracting.

As these guys readily come to feeders it is easy to set one up in your backyard with simple branches placed nearby and wait for birds to use them as perches before hopping onto the feeder. You can (should) also strategically place those perches with ideal backgrounds in mind. :-)

I agree you got a nice pose from this Chickadee!
