    With the extended time away from the office over the holidays, I've been revisiting some older images, and in some cases finding some things I hadn't processed before. This image was created a couple years ago here in northern Utah as the sun was fading behind a blanket of low clouds on the horizon. I was able to quickly setup while this particular owl examined the ground below, and then went after it's prize in the snow below.

    1/750 f/5.6 iso400
    handheld w/ beanbag
    vertical capture, slight crop top & left

    Very nice. Like the way you composed the image with perch.

    Composition is definitely nice, particularly since it was largely done in-camera. Wing position could be better. It's funny because I was going through some images from last year's trip to Northern Utah this afternoon and found a really nice Barn Owl that I'll be posting on BPN in the near future. I'll be up for a visit in a couple of weeks; maybe we'll cross paths.
