    I thought I would give it another try with a 400mm/5.6 lense today and not often get to see a male. 50D,400mmm at 5.6, 1/500, ISO 800, EC+1. This was taken in the same place as the others, Boundary Bay.

    Thanks folks! Gotta love it when the birds help out.
    Denise, Boundary Bay is in the very southwestern part of mainland BC. As the bay extends south into the US the names and configuration change to Semiamoo and Birch Bay. So it is basically on the 49th. Closest US town would be Blaine, Wa. or 30 miles from downtown Vancouver.
