    Its been more than 6 months since I last picked up my rig (too much to do lately), but I decided to take a trip to LI to see what I would find.

    Taken this morning with 30D, 500F4LIS, 1.4x, Sunny 16 at F/7.1.

    I'm glad you got a chance to visit these beauties. I like the angle, setting and composition. The bird and especially the grass look a bit oversharpened on my monitor and wish the owl would have shown you the eyes more.

    Sweet bird, nice dunes. Need more yellow eyes and some feet. Great to see you hear and congrats on getting back in the saddle.

    Nice meeting you today Chris. This position worked out well for this image. As far as the eyes go. This was as widest they opened all morning. My images look the same.

    Glad you got out. The composition works well.
    Eyes would be nicer if open but I have had the same experience.
