Winter plumage on these shorebirds completely ruins my identification mojo!!

    Hi Rob,
I like the capture, the bird is a wee bit too centered in frame, the black out of focus blotches and the dark streak on the upper right hand side of the frame are distracting, I see noise in the background... I do like the sharp details in the feathers and the sharp eye and good head angle. I also like the low angle of capture...I made a few changes to your base image by adding canvas to the left side of the frame, cropped from the right and from the top, I blurred the background, ran noise reduction and selective sharpened the contours of the feathers and the eye, also increased saturation and contrast and adjusted the mid-tones...see if this presents well with you...

It is a black bellied plover Rob !!! I like the changes that Gus made Subtle but makes a difference For this one only a Worm view would have made it better ... eliminates all the distracting bg and looks dreamy !!! Do like it a lot as presented !!!

Very nice Rob, like the added canvas by Gus and the removal of the URC and LRC marks done by Gus too. Exposure looks great.
