    First time as Bosque. After a beautiful sunrise, the rest of the day was overcast, hence the colorless background. This was captured mid morning near the corn fields at the north end of the reserve.

    Canon 40D/500mm/1.4 TC/f5.6/ISO800/1/2000 sec

    Should have cut the shutter speed and dropped the ISO. Rookie error in the heat of the moment.

    This bird flew right over us on the way to landing in the field. Minimal crop. I did add canvas on the left and fixed 3 clipped wing tips using Robert's awesome APTATS techniques.

    Looking forward to your opinion.

    I like the compostion. It kind of froze the action. May be little more S/H adjustment to under the wing part?

    In addition to Sid's suggestion I would add more canvas as the crane is pretty tight in the frame, particularly right and bottom.
