    Default Sizing for posting

    Hi All,

I have never had this problem before so I don't know what to do to correct it. I want to post a photo that I took of a bird perched on an animal skin. However, the image is large (lots of Megs) and when I reduce it to 800 wide and quality 10, I still have an image that is 388kb (too large to post). I need to reduce the quality to 2 (very low) in order to get it to 200kB. Any ideas on how to reduce the image size without compromising on quality.

    Thanks
    Vic

You are first resizing the image to 800 px @ 72 dpi, and then trying to save as jpeg...yes?

Hi Victor Don't use save as but use save for web since you can specify the size for the files. There is a tutorial in educational resources which will guide you step by step !!! ..... if not pm !!!

... suggestion by Chas should also work just fine !!

I have a high sarcasm rate. Deal with it.
