    Hi Mark,
    I like the capture,
the bird is a little too centered, it needs to be to the left of the frame in this case, also the perch is a tad over powering, and the rocks in the background could be subdued a tad more...I made a few changes to your base image. I cropped the perch from the bottom, to place more attention on your bird. I also cropped from the left side of the frame to off set him. ran the blur tool and desaturated the background, toned down the whites, which were running hot, and selective sharpened the bird, boosted saturation just a tad...see if this presents well with you...

Hi Mark, Nice photo and I like the comp. in the repost. Juncos are neat to photograph and the locals around here are quite a bit darker so not sure if the colours of yours are off a bit or not. Nice eye contact and ha.

I like how you framed the bird and have clear snow all around it There seems to be a slight cast in the snow easily removable !!!

btw original might have been underexposed? The snow can fool the meter and make it close down. The normal exposure is off the snow + one and one half !!!

Tried to remove the colour cast ( a bit of magenta??) and sharpen the bird a little bit. Just did it pretty quick. Delicate shot. Think it is very nice.

Thanks for the advice, the reposts are amazing. Gus and Jackie, how did you sharpen the bird more? Every time I tried to sharpen it made funny black lines at every edge.

Mark, use the quick selection tool set to +. Select the bird refine the edge (at the top of PS) and then copy your selection on to a new layer, using Control J. Then go to filters and use unsharp mask or I use smart sharpen. That's if you are using Photoshop.
