I photographed this pair while I was banding raptors this fall at Cape May Point, NJ.:)
I banded a total of 884 hawks this season. This pair was among a dozen Kestrels 'bugging' for crickets in the field where I operate a blind.

I'm sure it was quite an experience banding all those raptors. Nice to get both male and female in one frame! Image seems to be suffering from a large crop. May this be the case?

Yes Daniel, I did do a large crop. I hope someday to be able to afford the 500mm.
