I went to Long Island this morning and met quite a few photographers on the beach. Very early this bird let us photograph him for a while. He was quite skittish, though.

You guys certainly have a wonderful place to photograph the Snowy Owls......with plenty of interesting and unique habitat. Lovely image.....and oh those yellow eyes. Excellent setting. I may have to hate you for this one. Well done.

Axel I am so jealous! I love owls and this one is certainly a fine example. Love the eye contact and the little bit of surrounds in front.

Another nice Snowy. Axel. The grasses add much interest.

Axel I love the eye contact and the grass. This owl must be being photographed as much as the snowys were here last winter.

Nice capture with lovely light Axel, the eyes are stunning, not fussy for the grasses though.

    Default I want to come!!!

Hey - if you guys plan anymore trips I would love to come from the city and join in. I doubt I could do any better than the beautiful shots I have seen lately!

    Cheers,

I'm sure that you could find other photographers there almost on a daily basis. It's a pretty safe guess that most people running around with long lenses look for the owls. :)

Gorgeous!!! I usually prefer an unobstructed subject, but in this case the tussock in front of the bird works really well, perhaps due to the shared tones with the owl's chevrons.
