    hi titus, the sidelight here hurt you. it left your bird's face dark and lacking detail. the face/eye area is the most important area because it is where the viewer connects with the subject. always remember to try to shoot with the sun over your shoulder for best results. flash fill may have helped here. you got a great pose and a nice perch too. just would like to see the bird in the left of the frame instead of centered. keep them coming!!

    Hi Titus,
    An excellent assessment by Doctor Davis...The light here is very important, in situations like this one, don't be shy on using your flash as a fill factor...looking forward to your next one...:cool:

    Good looking bird Titus. Too bad about the light. Darn birds don't want to cooperate sometimes.
