    This image was made from a blind in my backyard. The light was great during the "golden hour" and I made several good photos. This one is my favourite however. All comments welcome.

    Hi Joel, this is a nice picture of the chickadee. I like it but I think, there are a few points how you can try to get a great image next time
    I think the blue circle around the birds head is a bit distracting. You can try a slightly different point of view, so that the bird is in front of the clear brown BG.
    F 2.8 makes a really small depth of field. If you add the 2x TC it is hard to get a tacksharp image. The eye is a bit too soft I think. You can try to make the image at f 5.6, or focus strictly on the eye of the bird.

    Anyway I like the image as presented!

    I like the head angle. The the EXP is good and the light is sweet. The biggest problem is that the BKGR is uneven... Try to set up with a distant BKGR of a singel tone.
