    The light promised so much when I turned up at my favourite rock pool, only for the wind and cloud to go and spoil it. This was my second time trying the better beamer flash extender, something I must try and master in this cloud covered country. A little tight in frame for some but they came so close to me, most of the time I couldn't take a picture....

    Maybe some distracting elements in the BG but great angle, good eye contact and nice soft lighting. I personally don't think it is too tight.

    Sharp, good EXP, good use of flash. A bit too tight. With sleeping birds, do consider composing so as to give them room to see into the frame should they open their eye while resting. For this image, that would have entailed pointing the lens to your left so as to place the bird closer to the right frame-edge.

    And yes to too much clutter.
