I shot a photo of a snow scene. I added the light in the lantern and added a plastic wrap to just the lantern to make it look like ice

Nice work on the lantern! I don't think I would have thought of doing the plastic wrap on the light! The rest of the scene is a little daunting to me...I'm having trouble finding a focal point in all this - maybe a different angle on the lantern would have helped?

    Hi Lady Denise,
I like your composition very much; the main subject here is the lantern; lighting the way to the path and the woods in the background. I love the feel and mood...It is cold...a story in the making...:) I doctored up another rendition to this by burning the sky and trees by 3 percent to get that northern gray sky and also burned the outer contours of the lantern and dodged the center portion of the light...see how this feels to you...

Lovely Denise, like it as presented. Looks kind of eerie even though the image is light.

    Hi Denise,
I think that I prefer the second crop as it does focus more attention on the lantern. Gotta love our northern winters...!!

Excellent image. I like both versions for different reasons, The repost has a sky that keeps taking me back into the photo, but in the OP the trees on the right have a lot of interest and character.
