Practiced flyshots with my new 600/4 VR yesterday. The wintering Grey Herons just north of Stockholm was the target of the day. This is one of the captures I got.

    D200 + MB-D200, 600/4 VR, ISO 400, f/9, 1/800

    Thanks for watching

    Great wing position.
Could try to lighten up the wing tip below.

Congrats on the lens and happy new year!

Too bad about the haevy shadow on the lower wing. Good wingspread and beautiful light on your subject. Also wish for a better head angle - this one is looking away a bit. Could work well as a vertical with more room above and below. Enjoy the new lens!!

Nice light and details in the heron. The shadow does not bother me too much.
