Very nice portrait here, looks almost like a painting... Well composed.

Lovely image Steve and I particularly like the composition of the image. The wonderful touches of color and the tall grasses add to the interest and I too like the excellent eye contact. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shot! Like the color and the low angle.

Nice composition, I love the oof grasses in foreground. Agree with the painterly feel. I have noticed that in alot of your images, just wondering if you apply a soft focus effect or something else during pp. Either way I like it.

Thanks for the comments Todd. The painterly look kind of evolved from most of my images being shot in low light/high ISO conditions and my attempts to minimize the noise present in the captures. I play around with the NR and layers blending modes until I get something I like. Certainly not to everyone's taste but I tend to prefer the softer images to the razor sharp ones anyway so it works out for me.

Excellent presentation, agree it looks like a painting, which is great in my book :)
The OOF foregrounds amplifies the feeling.
