    Typical pose around here- perched on a roadside pole. This one was on the local Xmas Bird Count, and I photographed it from the open car window, with D300 and Nikon 80-400. Hand-held.

    Nice looking bird. Steepish angle blocking the lower body, tail, and feet is not ideal, and the perch a bit massive. Lots of noise on the hawk, heavy crop? Good idea to bring the camera along for the Xmas count :-)

    BG has some artifacts and the image has the look of a large crop.
