    I like the pose and perch, but this image is in dire need of CCW rotation. I would clone out the blob above left wing, and tone down the brighter parts in the water at right edge. All the best for 2009 to you also!! :-)

    Thanks Daniel, I can see the clone part, but what do you mean by the CCW rotation?

    That's "Counter Clockwise" rotation. Simply put: to level the horizon. The image is slanted downwards from upper left to lower right, and rotating it in a counter clockwise direction in Photoshop would take care of that. Just make sure to have a wider crop handy beforehand as doing such a rotation then requires to crop off the rotated corners sticking out (you'll see what I mean...).

    Looks better this way, but as you say tight on the sides. Great job getting rid of the "blob" :-)
