Hey Chris, Wonderful as expected. The raised wings and the sweeet light are wonderful. Did you do any work on the eye?
I would have preferred that you pointed the lens up just a bit for more room above and less below as it looks top heavy to me.

Happy 2009 Chris. ILove the pose of this guy with the semi-raised wings and the neat eye contact. terrific light and very good composition. The texture and colour of the scarlet feathers on the flanks is fantastic. very good job
Another beauty, Chris. Agree re a little more above or maybe even just a bit less below. Seems to be room to trim some and still accommodate the virtual feet.
