    You did well Jake hand-holding the 400mm for this sharp image. Love the reflection!!! The alert pose makes a nice composition and the grey/blue water makes a fine backdrop.

    Love the colours, pose and composition. The water patterns are great. I find the rock/log distracting as the focus of the bird's attention would have been under the water. If it were smaller it would have less "weight" in the image and be a nice element. I would be tempted to try covering it with a quickmask selection. There is a very prominent sharpening halo along the upper aspect of the beak, head and back. You could try sharpening on another layer then use a layer mask to erase the halo

    Very nice moment and reflection captured. In addition to the other comments, a lower angle would have improved this image. I also see a sharpening halo.

    A very nice image. Well composed and I love the reflection. I wouldnt be afraid to boost the saturation on this one. And for future posts feel free to post images up to 800px.
