    Default Wild Stallion

On a scouting trip for an upcoming workshop, I was fortunate to find two bands of very wild horses. "Very wild" means these animals do not like humans, and run at the sight of them. It's always a thrill to stalk them and get close enough for photos like this.

The stallion will almost always stop and turn to check me out, giving his band time to run. Sometimes there is even a good snort from him before he takes off too.

Love that mane and tail going wild in the wind.
The ones we saw were uncomfortable at first, getting friendly and approachable after a while.
    Thanks for sharing, David.

This thumbnail didn't show up... A nice looking stallion for sure. We have the wild (wild) horses around here as well and they can be a real challenge. Nicely done love the action...

Hi David It was a fortunate encounter and did well with it !! Love the pose of the foreground horse. Raised foot, flowing tail and direct look ... just great. Like it as presented but might be even stronger without the bg horse !!! Big Congrats !!

    Hi David,
Great pose. Really like the raised hoof and flowing mane and tail. A little seperation between the two would've been nice but the two together gives this image the action feel you described.
