Dave, one comment here...I wish the tree on the right side were more in the ROT's (rule of thirds) position. If you'd taken a few steps to the right you might have composed this with it closer to the picnic table and left a bit more room on the right side of the frame.
That said, this is a beautiful image and very well exposed. The colors are nicely saturated without going overboard and it does have a painterly feel to it.
Lovely photo, I think you did a great job all around.

BTW: Is that Boundary Bay located in the bit of the USA accessed from B. C. If so, we used to spend summers there and White rock in the 30's. If my memory serves me, Cresent Beach is next to Boundary Bay? Can remember saloming between a line of poles in the bay in a small sailboat when we were kids.

Thanks Everyone. Gus you are right on. That bit of the States you refer to is Point Roberts, and the photo is taken about 1 mile north of that border looking towards Mt. Baker, the snow capped volcano. I bet it was really something to see back then before the urbanization. Take Care,
