    The gannet saw the champagne of the pelican and thought it might be worth diving. :)

    Photographed on Cape Cod in January. The gannets came pretty close to the shore.

    XTi, 500f4, 1.4x, 1/1000s, f/6.3, ISO 200

    Sweet capture Axel Difficult birds to nail as sharp as this one in good light !!!

    The one long wave sort of catches my attention other scattered are fine. Excellent image. Happy New Year !!!!

    Lovely pose , Axel. Great to get close enough to record this - in my experience they are always way to far out unless I'm on a boat fishing without camera gear! Love the folding wings and the tail turned to steer the dive. Might be tempted to move the bird slightly higher in the frame. What gear did you use and was this much of a crop?

    Thanks, Tony. I forgot the techs and just added them. It is cropped from horizontal, I don't recall exactly how far away the gannet was, but there is one place on the Cape where they come pretty close because the water is quite deep near the shore.

    Axel you have to add the next frame of the series to allow us to see the end of the story...

    Well after having a look at Fab´s pelican I suspect that he swallowed both the bottle and the gannet too:D
