    Go Gators! ;)

We seem to have a lot of both kinds down here - the Florida fans, and the reptilian kind. The Hillsborough River is definitely full of them. I posted a photo of an injured ("disabled?") one we encountered in Friends and Family - but this one looks totally healthy.

The mark on his head and nose appear to be injuries / scuff marks - not glare. I did some post processing including taking out a couple of glare marks on his legs. I think I got the waterline straight - the gator was leaning a little....

I kind of thought about cloning out the lily pad under his chin - but I wasn't sure. Is it really distracting?

    Thanks for looking.

Looks just fine Amy Do like the low angle which makes all the difference !!! The little splash of green does help the tone I like it a lot !!!

Great catch, I like the in-your-face approach. It may need a bit of CW rotation.

Love the long angle you have here.. A bit of CW rotation as Fabs mentioned and I wish we could have a bit of a catchlight in the gators eyes .. A bit of fill flash may have helped. I might even have shot with a wider aperture to smooth out the BG...

Nice low angle. Good detail in the face. Would prefer that the lily pad under the chin wasn't there but it being on the same angle as the gator kind of minimizes it (looks like a chin rest) and it really isn't much of a distraction for me.
