The ice-covered perch is terrific. Eye contact and sharpness are good. Only wish the tip of the bill didn't overlap the perch, but I'd love to have a kingfisher image as good as this one.

Fantastic bird on a very original perch. It took me a while to figure out what it was :)

Lovely details and sharpness, very well done!

The ice on the perch makes this one special. Great details, exposure control and details. The bill/perch overlap has been mentioned.

The perch is very special and interesting to see the claws on the ice. Colours are wonderful as is the crop. I too wish I could get a shot as nice as this. The bill/perch doesn't bother me much in the overall shot, but had the tip not overlapped it would have been that much better (very minor). Great shot, love it.
