How is this for a head angle? Does it work? Would you keep it?

Curious as to your thoughts since we talk and stress so much the head angle.

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

Interesting - when I first looked at the thumbnail, I thought this was going to be a full face front view, not the exact opposite.
    Would I keep it? Yes
Would I print it for my wall? No
I think I'd keep it so I could send people an e-card with the bird saying something like "Here's looking at you kid!" or "Looking good!" or "Just can't get my head around this." or ...

Neat one Alfred. I am sure you took this on purpose but it reminds me of times I get home and am surprised sometimes by the different poses and postures that I was able to get.
Would I keep it? It wouldn't matter since I have so many now and only a few are really good "family jewels". Dave

For me sometimes different works. This bird did everything but give a good head position so I went with the flow and did the back !!! Will keep !! :)

"giving me the ole cold shoulder!" you'd have to be able to use this on some kind of card!!

I agree with Gail...it's a great image for humorous reasons but I certainly wouldn't print it. Now, if you had even a little bit of a side head turn so you could see part of an eye and a bit of beak I think I'd have to rethink my answer...but no eye contact at all? That makes about as much sense as standing your family backwards and taking a family portrait!

I think I'm with Gail here. I think that if it is a portrait of the bird that you want to show, then head angle could be important. But if it's not, then perhaps head angle should not matter that much.

I also have a photo kind of like that, but I took mine on purpose (not that the target was not cooperating) because I think there's something interesting that most may not see. May be I'd post it one day.

Happy New Year, Al and everybody !!
