Default Low Angle on a Sandhill

I was about a foot above water/ice level. This Sandhill took off without a running start, just one big leap and flap of the wings. This is almost full frame.

Good angle, details and eye contact. I would prefer if the wings were up and might crop some off the top.

This is a great low angle and I like a lot the texture of the water mixed with ice (?). Very good eye contact and I agree with Axel regarding the wings´position. Happy 2009 :-)

Ditto. Also, although minor, I would clone out the white piece of ice touching the leg. Cropping the top to eliminate the top grey band is a good option.
