Hi every one. These have been intense days and I've been practicing some hummer photography, sure, is nothing like Linda Robins but at least it keeps me busy.

    f/9
    1/640sec
    ISO 400
    Tripod
    little crop for compo.

By the way, this is a Volcano Hummingbird female.

Very nice details, eye contact and BG. I like the relaxed mood. I thought this was an immature ruby-throat and didn't even know of this species. I would put him a bit higher in the frame so the perch doesn't end in the corner.

Beautiful feather details and colours, BG works well - well done with the aperture choice to achieve this. Agree with crop suggestion.

I like the comp as is. I like the bird placed lower like you have...the bill pointing up makes the top empty space look great and well balanced. fantastic BG. All-in-all beautiful in its' simplicity :-)

I think this is FANTASTIC! The color tones and diagonal perch really work for me. Don't sell yourself short...I preffer this image to many I have seen posted here. Great job!

Great perch, and I like the way the bird is looking up the perch. Exposure looks good. Sharpness is good, but I might back off on it a little. Overall one of my favorite images that you've submitted!

Very nice practice Juan, the sharpness is good but agree with Doug, maybe back it off a bit and I tend to agree with the crop suggestions, the lighting, bg and colours are super.

Hi Juan. I meant earlier that the image looks slightly oversharpened, particularly on the breast. Sorry about the confusion.
