    Default Eye of the cormorant

I found this very cooperative cormorant last week during my visit to the Wakodahatchee Wetlands near West Palm Beach, FL. This is a pretty significant crop but I knew I was going to have to do so when I made the image. Thankfully the end result is pretty much exactly what I envisioned when I made the image. The only thing different is I wish I could have captured my own reflection in the pupil, unfortunately I never got that. Also, I'm not sure if this is the correct topic for this image, if it needs moved please do so mods.

    Hey Josh,

Long time no speak man... I still remember that trip we made to Viera and M.I.

Love the details and wonderful colors. The crop is holding well.

    Happy New Year!![/quote]

Happy New Year to you too, I hope all is well in FL.

I moved up to the DC area about six months ago for a new job and last week was the first time my camera gear had seen the light of day in a LONG time.

WOW. Doesn't the pupil and iris look like an undersea volcano seen from above? Or a hot vent in one of the colorfull pools in Yellowstone? Really like it. Congrats. JR

That eye rocks Josh, it is like a miniature blue planet on the cormorant face. If this one were mine I think that Iwould go for a less square crop, adding more room at the right but it is just a personal taste. Happy 2009!
