    Hi Folks:

The birds love the dried Cholla in our garden, and this Old World Female House Sparrow is no exception.

Thought she looked best in a Pano . . .

All CC's welcome and very much appreciated.

Beautiful Gus, I love the BG colors and the crop-nice details-well done as always!

P.S. I've noticed the Raven in your sig. is nevermore-what happened? I will say the font used for your sig. is super!

    Hi denise:

    Thanks for your kind words.

At the start when having different problems with CS4, I finally bit the bullet, and reformatted my hard drive, wasn't too bad as I have 2 portable HD's with all my important stuff. Have left quite a few programs there.

The Raven sig fell by the wayside, and I will probable design another one. In the meantime I like the "FELIX" font.

    Have a great New Year . . . .

Beautiful shot, Gus. This one is ready to go straight into the glossy pages of Peterson or Stokes.

The edit below is a personal preference on my part, not a "correction" by any means, so take it merely as food (or dried Cholla) for thought. :p I found that the rich, saturated colors in the background were pulling my eye away from Madame Sparrow ... but that may well be just my quirky way of looking at pictures.

Super fine Gus! Everything works and works well!

Personal, I rather prefer the toned down BG in David's re-post

Weel done Gus, David's repost seems to put more emphasis on your bird. But it is a matter of personal taste. Well done!

    Hi Folks:

Thanks for looking at my photo of the House Sparrow.

David I prefer my original as it is the way it came out of the camera, and I'm trying to shoot my photos with my camera, not PS. Appreciate your opinion, and it may look better full size, as it looks rather drab to my eye in the smaller size.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year.

    Uncle Gus

    Gus,
Beautiful bird --looks very sharp! I really like the desaturated BG!
