Congrats on your first snowy. I know that feeling. :) Great details and eye contact and I might lighten the eye that is not sunlit and maybe some S/H on the plumage?

Hey Glenn, Great shot! I like the composition, eye contact, the perch and the background. Exposure looks right on to me. I haven't seen a snowy either...congrats! Where was this taken?

    Cheers!

Nice Glenn. The fence perch and surrounding branches add a lot. The image looks very dark on my work monitor and wonder if a boost in brightness may be useful? I checked the image in Ps and Levels and there's lots of room to nip in the whites and then give the midtones a lighten. May have to be selective so that the head whites are not blown as you do this.

Beautiful perch and setting for this photo. Looks a tad dark to me as well.

I agree with John and Joe. Brighten it up some and it's a winner.

I might have cloned out the two weeds on the left, and tried to lighten a bit. I really like the way the Snowy is sitting on the logs and displaying his sharp claws. I also like the shape of the logs. The composition is quite striking and very nice.
