    Such a cooperative owl. She rests even while people gather around her to photograph and observe. I hope that this image is allowed to stay in this forum, as the lady is part of its story.

    Nice human element image. Always good to capture an image like this but I hope the lady moved!

    Yes, some of these owls can become quite habituated to people. I like your image or showing that aspect of interaction. Grace, I know you were hoping this image would stay in Avian, but the "hand of man" forum was created to accomodate photographs such as this one...hence my decision to move it :-)

    Wonderful story told here Grace. Fine shot of the owl. Comp. is great and the use of DOF is outstanding.

    It really tells the story. The owl looks quite sleepy. How did it react to the use of flash?

    Axel, she was fine with flash. I'm not sure that there's much that bothers her at this point....very accommodating bird. And from what I've observed, people are being respectful of her, too.
