Great find and well done considering the low light. I like the setting and eye contact and may raise the color temperature a few degrees.

This is really nice Steve. The cat is fantastic looking but I love the environment too. To perspective works here since the grasses are so colorful, contrast with him well and he is set so well off from them.

I hope you got down and got a lower perspective too.

I agree that the cat is great and the grasses add much. Well done, Steve.

    Thanks all for the comments.
    Robert,
Nothing lower. He disappeared into the bushes before I could move around to get a better angle on him.

Wow almost missed this one. Great capture and a lucky find indeed in CO. Never saw one in the 23 years I lived there....

    Steve,
    A big Congrats!

I can imagine how it would feel watching such an elusive creature and photographing it at 100mm. I am not sure whether I would have thought of going lower and clicking due to the excitement and fear of spooking it. The grasses add a lot to the image. Well done.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

    Steve,
Great "in the right place at the right time" shot. What are the two patches in BG that appear to be made of camo ? Very noticable in the IOTW crop/enlargement ?
