GBH Flight at Wako

Got to meet Sid and a few other BPN'ers at Wako Saturday. He even was game enough to go out and do some night photography with me. We didn't get the Gator shot I got last night (it's in the landscape forum.....you know.....down lower in the forums) ...but I hope he got at least a few keepers.

Got this GBH late in the day. Canon Mark 3 with the Sigma 300-800mm lens at 300mm at f6.3 for 1/200 sec at ISO 800. Tripod/wimberly.

Cool pose, eye contact and BG. It looks a bit oversharpened on my monitor including sharpening halos. It could go a tad brighter for my taste.

Beautiful position on the bird and I like how the steely gray bg compliments him perfectly. I see the halos, too.

I like a lot the wing position and the neck and great colors in the bill and face. the Bg works really fine and I agree with Axel about the haloes around the bird. Would love to see a reprocessed version of this fantastic capture Roma. Have a very happy new year! :-)
