    Hello Folks,

    This one from Yesterday afternoon. We had clear skies with gorgeous light!

    From a boat.

    Hope you like it!!

    Canon 40D, 400mm L @ f/8, ISO 400, 1/1600 sec, RAW, Manual, Handheld, Full Frame.

    Hi Maxis, I love this image! The green water sets the bird off beautifully and the details in the whites are outstanding. I am guessing early morning light? I might consider taking a tiny bit off from the right side of the frame:)

    Hi David,

    Thank you for your words. I always try to leave some room in front. That gives me two things, one is space for the bird to "look" into and also helps me getting the bird off center.

    This is afternoon light!

    Good jobs, Maxis. Love the light and feather details. The dark BG sets it off perfectly.

    Well done Maxis! I like how you controlled the whites against the BG. Also the way the bill is almost touching the water. Really nice! Cheers!
