Default See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak no Evil...

Sandhill Crane version. Taken a couple of weeks ago in a Crane Pool at Bosque del Apache. I removed alot of reflections above the birds, but wonder if there is still too much distraction in the top of the image. The area of stronger color is autumn foliage reflection from a tree.

nice image David., personally, I would have went with half the iso, and ss for a cleaner image.

The color in the water is beautiful and I like the fact that you have 3 subjects. I'm afraid even though you reduced the ev down 2/3rd it wasn't enough to keep certain areas from remaining hot. The subject on the left is heavily shaded and to my eye the contrast between it and the others doesn't help the image.

    David,

I can see the cloning. Perhaps you want to get with Robert O'Toole and get one of his Quick Mask guides. Your images will never know that hit them!! :D.

    Lovely light and composition.

I like the composition, colors and idea. Adding to the other comments, the whites look a bit overexposed on my monitor.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. Ray - I have found on the D300 that using high iso noise reduction (set to low) at 800 iso yields as good detail and just about as clean an image as iso 400, so I go for the faster ss as sundown approaches.
