    This is the only photo, I've ever been able to get of a Woodcock, in the wild. The photo was taken at Point Pelee National Park. This little bird had just crossed Lake Erie during spring migration.. even though I saw him fly in, land, took me a while to find this bird, very well hidden.

    Well spotted,Paul. That is really cryptic colouration. I would crop a little from the right and maybe desat the greens a little. It would be nice to have a little more room on the left as the tails seems very close to if not over the edge of the frame

    Congratulations on your first Woodcock in the wild.
    Beautiful pose and feather detail of this impressive bird.
    Agree with Tony about framing.
    If image has been cropped would be interesting to see original full frame.

    Incredible. Excellent behavior and habitat. Excellent head angle and eye contact.
