Love it Kathy, love the locks flowing in the wind, the eyes, and the feet clenched on the rocks. Maybe just a bit more canvas on the top and less on the left?? Great exposure and details.

    Hi Kathy,
I like your composition, image and capture... The baby blue background compliments your subject very well. you have a good head angle, and very sharp details. The color rendition is superb...I like the feet position and pose on the dark rocky perch. I made a few changes to enhance your image by adding a little canvas on the top to give him some head space; and cropped 1/4 from the left of the frame. I boosted the saturation and contrast just a tad and selective sharpened the wings and eyes...see if it presents well with you...

Lovely image and wonderful pose and perch. I like the added headroom, but find Gus's rework a bit too bright, losing some contrast on the bird.

Kathy - very interesting pose, very dramatic. I think this is a 2nd year Black-crowned Night-Heron and I suspect the colors in your image are right on. I like Gus's re-post except I don't understand why the bird in his image seems so light? Too light really.
    Well done, beautiful image

This is a beautiful shot, Kathy. I don't think I would mess around with anything other than possibly the crop/canvas. The subject and background are, to my eye, spot-on. Very nice job.
