    Taken photography today near Cordoba (Spain)

    D300 * Nikon 200-400 f4 VR* S:1/250 * A:13 * 5tripods* 4 flashes working at 1/16 *blind* feeder*artificial BG*
    And as always, comments on the image welcome and appreciated

    Beautiful detail and very attractive perch, I love the aggressive pose and attitude portraid.

    Could you please explain *artificial BG* to me?

    The "artificial BG" is a big photo of a natural BG placed behind the perch and illuminated by a flash, working at 1/16

    No nit from me on the tech side of this photo, everything done great! But I find the bird too centered. Perhaps a bit better with more room on the left. If it was defending its perch, I think it would also tell a better story if it shows what it was reacting to. Just my two cents.

    What Pepe means is that he is using a big print of a BG that he previously photographed. this way he can get images with flashes witout the unpleasant black BG that flash light produces in this kind of images. Hope this helps.

    I like the pose of the bird a lot and the sharpness is terrific.
